Pictured: A wider shot showing the landscape that looks like it has giant leaves in the lake.
These incredible shapes in a dry lake look remarkably like leaves.
The patterns in the lake bed are an astonishing 100-metres-long and look just like leaves because they have the same shape and even have the same 'veins' inside.
But the shapes are in fact made up from a mixture of sand and salt that are part of a huge industrial salt farm.
These amazing aerial photographs were taken above Owens Lake in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Inyo County, California, USA.
The murky green surface in the salt farm is extremely saline water and the 'leaves' are man-made. SEE OUR COPY FOR MORE DETAILS.
