A woman arranges handmade clay pottery after being taken out of the furnace.

The furnace where the pottery is placed is two metres deep and used to fire treat the clay to make it hard and durable. The pots are made in the city of Aydin, Turkey, and once they finished, they are sold within the country and overseas for anywhere between 20 to 100 US Dollars.

Teacher Niyazi Gürgen said when asked what he thought about his images: “I was very excited while taking these photos. The colors and light are great. It was an unforgettable moment for me.”<br />
