SN_UPRIGHT_RAINBOW_7.jpg
A photographer has captured the rare phenomenon of a rainbow caused by ice rather than rain. This otherworldly vertical rainbow looks like a magical pillar coming straight down from heaven to the snowy earth.
The dreamy scene is like a setting from a fairytale, with snow-coated trees shining in the sunlight against a backdrop of cloudy mountains. These breathtaking photographs were captured by journalist Elena Sellberg in Uvdal, Norway, at an altitude of 1050 metres. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
