Pictured: Western chimpanzee infant male 'Flanle' aged 3 years wearing on his head a 'head support' used by villagers to carry heavy items made from palm leaves.
This young western chimpanzee shows his elders exactly what it means to be monkeying around.
The three-year-old chimp, called Flanle, had endless energy as he ran around wearing a leaf crown, played peek-a-boo and chased an older chimp around a tree.
Even as he lay on a rock with his feet in the air, the mischievous chimp gave a cheeky smile to his troop.
Flanle was playing in a clearing of the Bossou Forest, in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa, and is the youngest of his troop of 12.
