A rescue dog whose fore leg was amputated after it was almost torn off in a trap is now running for the first time with a new prosthetic limb. Three-legged German shepherd Shadow has undergone months of physiotherapy and regular vet visits to get him back running on all fours.
It comes less than a year after he was on the verge of being put down when he was abandoned by his owners in Spain after being snared in a trap. Vets at a rescue centre had to amputate his left fore leg as he was found with his foot mutilated and with bones sticking out of his leg. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
