Pictured: Summer time melts mosy of the snow on the mountains, leaving these abstract patterns.
These bird's-eye view shots of a mountain range capture just how stunning it looks when the snow begins to melt. Snow that completely covered these mountains last winter begins to dissolve - leaving each one with its own unique patchy pattern.
Many of the rivers running through the highlands are still frozen over and mysterious clouds can be seen drifting over the tops of the mountains. These stunning shots were taken by photographer Harry Lichtman, 50, when he visited the picturesque southeast highlands of Iceland. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
