This butterfly surprises a lizard by using its tail as a makeshift ladder.

The Tawny Coster butterfly landed on the Oriental Garden Lizard's tail and hauled itself up onto the branch the little reptile was clinging to.

The cheeky insect then even clambered onto the lizard's back, before another butterfly fluttered over to see what the strange couple were up to.

Amateur photographer Asep Bowie captured the unusual antics in his back garden in Cilegon, Indonosia.
