The world's largest functioning teapot poured out drinks for train passengers this morning enjoying an English tea party. Customers on the 7.30am train from London Paddington to Cornwall were surprised to be greeted with the traditional tea party rather than drinking out of plastic cups.
Around 20 passengers in coach L were treated to England's only tea producer, Tregothnan, supplying hot drinks as part of a new partnership with First Great Western train services. The teapot, at 4ft in diameter, has only previously been used publicly at the Chelsea Flower Show and can serve around 300 cups of classic tea. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
