British entrepreneurs are turning disused aeroplanes into luxury luggage in a bid to help save the environment. PLANE, based in Hilperton, Wiltshire, rescue discarded aircraft seat fabrics and transform them into stylish holdalls, rucksacks and over-the-shoulder bags.
Tough aeroplane seating cloth, which is flame-proof and stain resistant, was specially designed for frequent travel and is therefore the perfect material for luggage. Rather than letting it go to landfill, PLANE gives another life to the lightweight, robust material which has transported thousands of passengers around the world. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
