Pictured: The glacier in Iceland - See our main shot
Two brave hikers walk along the surface of an enormous glacier which is riddled with deadly crevices. Wearing large backpacks and warm clothing, the pair of adventurers look minuscule in comparison to the imposing landscape.
The other-worldly surface of the glacier is swirly black and white coloured just like marble, but is jagged and rough. Zoomed-out photographs show enormous snowy mountains in the background behind the surreal ice cap. These spectacular images show Vatnajökull, also known as the Vatna Glacier, in south-east Iceland - which is so enormous it covers eight per cent of the country. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
